UNIQUELY YOU:
DIFFERENCES ARE BEAUTIFUL

Uniquely you: differences are beautiful: Projects

Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, I realized I was different- and it took many years of navigating my experiences to discover why. By that time, I unfortunately already developed such a negative connotation around myself and my struggle with ADHD.

Under the guidance of my dance coach, I reframed how I saw myself. I began to accept who I was and my ADHD as just a part of my story. Things didn't magically become easy, but I can't imagine where I would be today if I continued to hate such a large part of who I am.

Every child is unique and that is BEAUTIFUL. The world spends so much time comparing people and telling children what is good, bad, acceptable, and what's not. With the prevalence of social media, and the state of our world today, children more than ever need to know that our unique differences are powerful and to be celebrated.

Over the last decade alone, there's been a dramatic increase in the prevalence of mental health issues in the younger generations. This is likely due to the ever increasing pressures placed upon younger generations.

Our children need us now. Children who struggle with self esteem and mental health grow into adults that struggle with same issues and more. With anxiety, depression, and poor body image on the rise in young adults, it is vital that we teach our young children how to develop a positive self-perception and relationship with who they are.

The goal of Uniquely You is to advocate for young minds to embrace and celebrate their and their peers' unique differences.

By creating awareness around this cause, we can empower our younger generations and address important issues such as mental health, diversity, inclusion, unity, and more.

Check out my campaign Uniquely You, and take part in this change!
